Blue Collar

Doug is one of my favorite models to paint from life.  He barely breaths!!  Well, it seems like it.  His skull shape is especially fun to capture.  This setting had him flooded with a warm spotlight lit from above.  I love how washed out the top of his head is and also bit more yellow.      The light softens further away from the light source.  Gotta love seeing his jaw bones so clearly.  So many reasons to love working from the model!   

Blue Collar was juried into and was awarded 1st place!
